The Key Financial Solutions team has been in the investment advisory business for more than 25 years, serving clients throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Based in Whakatāne, with a satellite office in Gisborne, we help ordinary Kiwis meet their financial goals, through investment, accounting and planning support. We work with clients from a range of backgrounds - from large-scale investors and retirees with a lump sum to invest, to those still working and starting to plan for retirement.

Hayley 

Director | Senior Financial Advisor

Hayley began working for Key Financial Solutions in 2002, initially beginning with a role as an office junior. She knew immediately that the finance industry was where she wanted to develop my career, so began to study for her Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Personal Financial Planning). Hayley officially became an Authorised Financial Adviser in February 2018, and took over the business from Rae in 2024.

 

Hayley comes with experience across all areas of finance, including investments, taxes, trusts, and insurance, so no question is ever too difficult! What she love most about her role is that no two days are ever the same, and you never know what interesting challenge will come your way. Hayley enjoys working with clients to get the best possible outcome for their unique circumstances, whether that’s securing a great return on investment, or ring-fencing family land for the next generation.

Anne

Tax Administrator

First impressions count, and Anne takes it in her stride, ensuring that all our clients are met with a warm welcome when they step through our doors or pick up the phone. As our receptionist and admin superstar, Anne wears many hats, with a range of responsibilities that include tax preparation, the handling of GST returns, preparing annual financial statements, and managing income tax returns. Anne's meticulous attention to detail and dedication to client service make her an invaluable member of our team.

Val

Trust & Estate Administrator

Val is a retired legal executive who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Key Financial Solutions team. As a part-time member of staff, she's highly in demand, providing our clients with specialist estate administration and will preparation support. Val's expertise gives our clients the confidence that comes from having a reliable, trusted source of legal advice.
